Exemplar Healthcare

Gary Fuller: Before I actually came to Lonnen Grove as a Care Assistant I was a single parent. I had been on benefits for about eight or nine years. I knew that time were right for me to get back into work.

Susan Cunningham: Gary’s a perfect example of someone that came, um, and I don’t believe when he first came that he thought he would be working in care, but he actually took to it straight away.

Keeley Rowley: As soon as Gary started at Lonnen Grove it was evident he was going to be a real asset to us. He’s a very calm and consistent person. And if we hadn’t got this Local Employment Partnership, maybe his potential would have been undiscovered.

Gary Fuller: I don’t actually class it as a job, I actually class it as coming home from home. You get a smile from one service user it sets you up for the day. I know me confidence is gaining every day, me self-esteem since I’ve been working, I know it’s going through the roof. Through Exemplar I’m going to get all different NVQs, I’m actually going to go onto a course understanding mental health issues, so it’s all, it’s all building up for me.

Keeley Rowley: He’s absolutely fabulous, he’s a lovely person and he’s a real asset to the workforce.
